You can easily get intrigued and fall in love with a pretty place that you see. But you should do your homework first before starting to look.

First, who is the builder of a project and what kind of reputation do they have? As an example, if you look at a property built by KPDK Buildtech, you might at first say they are only 5 years old, can I trust them? If you dig a bit further, you would find that they are part of MKG Group which has been around for over 40 years and they have consulted on and done engineering for every type of construction project you can imagine and have worked with all the major developers and construction companies.

Second, look for a good real estate agent. Check out their reputation. A good buyer’s agent should only take the best interests of their client into account. They should have no ties or promote the interest of the developers or whoever is selling the property.

Third, you should talk to a banker or mortgage broker to determine how much you can afford to spend. One of the worst things you can do is look at a residential apartment in Pataudi Road Gurgaon that costs twice what you can afford. You will kick yourself if you do this because when you look at the residential apartments that you can afford, they won’t look as good as the one that is twice as much and you will never be happy and satisfied.
