There are several clients and buyers who have been facing issues with their money back after the withdrawal of their booking as the builders usually refused to return back their money. But after the implementation of Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act (RERA), the buyers can now easily file a complaint with the RERA authority.  Still the problem persisted as very few of the clients knew how to go about it. Many buyers are aware of how RERA has been implemented and that it protects the consumers’ rights but only a few know how to file a complaint.

RERA has streamlined the real estate sector. All information related to projects for any real estate company in Delhi-NCR are in the public domain now and easily accessible to all. Transparency has increased significantly to boost the confidence level among the buyers. RERA regulation states that a complaint can be filed under Section 31 of RERA either with the Real Estate Regulatory Authority or the adjudicating officer.

This complaint can be filed against promoters, allottees and/or real estate agents of any real estate development company in Delhi-NCR. Several state governments have laid out the procedures for filing applications under RERA to make it easy for the buyers to get their grievances resolved easily. A complaint must be in the form prescribed as per the state government’s rules of the state where the case is being filed. If a buyer’s rights are violated then a complaint can be filed under RERA in the format provided by the respective state government. You need to visit the RERA portal of the respective state government.

The new real estate destination in Pataudi Road does not contravene with any provisions of the Act. The fee for filing differs from state to state. For example, in Maharashtra, the fee is Rs 5,000 while in Karnataka the fee is Rs 1,000. The fee is completely in accordance with the rules and regulations of RERA of a particular state.
